Independence OTA Program Celebrated the Centennial Birthday of Occupational Therapy
The Independence OTA program celebrated the Centennial Birthday of occupational therapy with a cake on March 16th. Both the first and second year students were in attendance and all were excited about being a part of the this monumental day. Occupational therapy’s beginning was with the birth of the National Society for the Promotion of Occupational Therapy (now AOTA) on March 15th. Occupational therapy has grown to over 200,000 strong. The centennial celebration will be at the AOTA national conference in Philadelphia the end of the month.
