Exciting Faculty Achievements Funded by National American University and the NAU Foundation
We are thrilled to announce that two prestigious faculty awards, made possible by National American University and the generous support of the NAU Foundation, have been granted this year to exceptional members of our faculty.
Faculty Committee Professional Development Award
The Faculty Committee Professional Development Award, an annually-awarded stipend, is designed to support faculty members in their professional growth within their respective fields or in the realm of teaching and learning. This year, Dr. Jim Brinson has been selected as the recipient of this award. Dr. Brinson will be attending the OLC Accelerate 2024, a renowned conference dedicated to advancing quality online learning.
First-Year Experience Award
The First-Year Experience Award, a new one-time award funded by a grant from the NAU Foundation, aims to support faculty in their professional development efforts. This year, two faculty members have been honored with this award. Natalie Garling will attend OLC Accelerate 2024, while Amanda Graham will participate in the NOSS “Jazzing Up Student Success” conference in 2025.
These awards not only recognize the dedication and hard work of our faculty but also underscore the commitment of the NAU Foundation to enhancing the quality of education and professional development at National American University. Congratulations to Dr. Jim Brinson, Natalie Garling, and Amanda Graham on their well-deserved awards!
